IN THE BEGINNING

WHEN HE STARTED ON THE PGA TOUR...TIGER WOODS SAID "HELLO WORLD" at his first professional press conference in
Milwaukee. A tournament he has never returned to, and may never get the chance to, if the event in need of a new sponsor doesn't get one. For me this is Hello World, as I join the world of bloging through our golfersongolf.com website. Golfers on golf is growing quickly and should take several new turns in the upcoming weeks, on it's way to becoming Chicago's new #1 golf radio program.

What has already happened, is that in addition to listening to Bill Berger, Ed Stevenson, Mike Munro and myself live on WJJG-AM 1530 on Monday nights from 6-7 PM. WJJG is now streaming itself live through the stations website WJJG.com so if you can't listen live on the radio. Join us via the web no matter where you are. If you can't catch it live on air or on the web, visit our website and pull up past shows to hear that week or past weeks programs. Listeners and fans of the show will not only be able to email us now, but soon be exchanging comments via the web and our blogs.

Golfers on Golf normally ends it's season in mid-September, this year that might not be the case. Stay tuned for more details on that. IF this BLOG site gets up and running here. I hope to be bloging from both the Solheim Cup this week at Rich Harvest Farms, and then from Cog Hill Sept. 7-13 during the BMW Championship part of the the Fed-Ex Cup Playoffs. Once the champion is crowned there, I will turn my sights to the USGA-SR AM at Beverly C.C. the following week.

The Illinois PGA Section Championship, is coming up starting August 31st through September 2nd at Stonewall Orchard in Grayslake, with defending Champion University Illinois Golf Coach Mike Small in the field. Speaking of Small his Illinois squad will attempt to defend their title at the University of Illinois/Olympia Fields Srixon Championship Sept. 17-18-19 at Olympia Fields C.C. with even a stronger field that last year. Many of the NCAA's top golf powerhouses are in the field.

Golf season is really just starting up in the Chicago area, go support it. It starts this week in Sugar Grove, best of luck to Capt. Beth Daniels and her Solheim Cup team. U-S-A U-S-A...

All the best ,and Welcome aboard to the newest addition of Golfers on Golf, the blog..
