Who did you vote for. Golf Digest is currently running a contest on Facebook. It
takes the top 64 public golf courses in it's Greatest 100, and puts them in
brackets to determine a national champion.

While it's unclear how long the current vote runs for, the Pete Dye Course at
French Lick is up against Cog Hill Course 4 (Dubsdread). Right now the PDC
at FL..is pounding Dubs by a 3-1 margin in votes. In addition the River Course
at Blackwolf Run (BWR) in Kohler, is defeating the Horseshoe Course in VA.

When it's all said and done, the question is. Will it be Pinehurst #2 or a course
from Oregons Bandon Dunes taking on Pebble Beach for the championship.
Courses like Whistling Straits (Kohler), Bethpage Black, Spyglass and Torrey
Pines will get some heavy amount of votes as well.

CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH ILLINOIS BIG TEN SCHOOLS..Illinois and
Northwestern as they advanced this weekend to the NCAA National
Championship in early June. GO Illini, and GO Cats. Both programs
are lead by excellent coaches, Illinois by Mike Small and Northwestern
by Pat Goss. All the way to Oklahoma in early June.

OTHER CATS IN THE NEWS...Congrats to NU senior David Lipsky who
advanced from the Oak Meadow regional qualifying for the US Open,
into the sectionals in early June. Incoming freshman Bennett Lavin
advanced from the regional at Orchard Valley GC in Aurora.

GOOD LUCK TO IVANHOE HEAD PRO...JIM SOBB..who is off to play
in the Senior PGA Championship this week in Valhalla. Sobb just
completed winning the IPGA Match Play Championship and Senior
Match Play Championships over the last two weeks. More on Jim
