THE GOG BLOGS SUNDAY MORNING SHORT GAME
CONGRATS TO STEVE STRICKER ON WINNING THE 2011 JOHN DEERE
CLASSIC, KNOWN BY THE BRITISH TABLOIDS AS "THE TRACTOR TRIPLE".
(PHOTO COURTESY OF BARRY CRONIN AND THE JDC)
YES..The Gog Blog finally got this years shot of the 2011 John Deere Classic
winner Steve Stricker with the JDC trophy. Many things didn't happen as
fast as we would have liked this past week, but no power was an issue
for many folks so our coverage is a bit behind after almost 33 hours in our
dark Gog Blog offices.
My apologies to all that were waiting for our photo and virtual audio tour
of 2011 US Amateur site Erin Hills WI.. After falling two days behind this
past week the feature will now run this week. Erin Hills is also the site of
the 2017 US Open, more information visit www.erinhills.com.
In addition, please enjoy our wrap up of the Womens Western Golf
Association (WWGA) 85th Annual National Girls Golf Championship
from Flossmoor CC. Congrats to Ashley Armstrong of Flossmoor
on the win, that came on hole 20 of a sudden death playoff. Our planned
coverage during the week, was also reduced due to the storm and
power loss.
The same goes for our British Open coverage, The Gog Blog plans
a short wrap up on the seasons third major, after the "Champion
Golfer of the Year" is decided at Royal St. Georges later today.
