ARDINA & JUTANUGARN IN FINAL OF USGA JUNIOR GIRLS

OLYMPIA FIELDS IS HOSTING THE 2011 USGA JUNIOR GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP

The USGA Junior Girls Championship 36 hole Match Play Final, will
tee off tomorrow morning at 8 AM on the Olympia Fields South Course.

Stroke Play Medalist Ariya Jutanugarn a 15 year old from Thailand,
will face Dottie Ardina from the Philippines.

Jutanugarn survived a tough quarterfinal match winning just 1UP,
before moving on to the Semi-finals where she defeated Amy Lee,
of Brea CA. by a 8 & 6 score.

For Ardina the matches were reversed. In the quarterfinals she was
a 5 & 4 winner, before having a tougher semi-final macth against
Yu Liu of China 2 & 1.

If Ardina's name sounds familiar she has played very well in a few
of the Womens Western Golf Assocation championships in recent
years. Ardina won the 2007 WWGA National Junior Girls title
at TPC River Bend (near Cincinnati). She also made finalist
in back-to-back years while playing at the, WWGA National
Amateur Championship in 2009 & 2010. She did not compete
this year.

Play on the Olympia Fields South Course was stopped for a two
hour and 13 minute rain delay in the morning. The storm dropped
almost 3/4 of an inch of rain, on a course that needed it after a
very hot week.

THE PAR 4 2ND HOLE ON THE OFCC SOUTH COURSE COULD BE A HOLE
THAT GIVES ONE FINALIST AN EARLY LEAD.

Jutangarn took advantage of of the pins not being moved from the
morning round to be aggressive during her semi-final match.

"I am very happy, " Jutanugarn said. "I am not sure what will happen
in the championship but proud of what I have done so far."

Ardina managed to survive into the finals even though she is fighting
several blisters.

"I know I have to start making my birdie putts, " Ardina said. "I
missed a lot of them today."

Ardina said she is proud to have made it this far in the championship,
and that she didn't imagine getting to the finals.

Olympia Fields South Course is playing to a par of 72, and a yardage
of 6,403. Admission is free to Saturday's Championship, and
spectators are encouraged to attend.
