FOR THE 2012 BMW CHAMPIONSHIP.

Yes the 2012 BMW Championship is near Indianapolis September 3-9 2012,
back to being a week earlier on the calendar. Most likely to give players a
week off before the Ryder Cup at Medinah.

Tickets for the 2012 BMW Championship, one of the ones where we actually
know where it is going to be played are on sale. Please visit the Western Golf

Our feature on Crooked Stick will appear this week, and more on Crooked Stick 
during our year end 2011 look at golf for 2012 feature. Which we are planning
to run in early November.

GOLFERSONGOLF.COM..is now the main way to stay in touch with the golf
news in Chicago in the off season months ahead. Most all golf shows and
websites are done for the year, not us. This site will be active all winter long.

GOLFERS ON GOLF RADIO..is done for the 2011 season, so it seems
different not giving everyone our guest list for Monday night. But more stories
including a look at Conway Farms, a possible site for the 2013 BMW, and a
recap of tomorrows media day at Medinah this week a swell. The Gog Blog
Speaks Out and more upcoming in the days ahead.

WE MAKE NO SECRET..of the fact that that there are some changes ahead
at the long time host station of Golfers on Golf Radio WJJG-AM. We do also
apologize IF internet listeners did not catch our last show, there were some
technical changes made that day at the station and the live streaming might
not have been available. Please give us a mulligan if you were inconvenienced.
We do hear good things for WJJG-AM 1530 moving forward, we hope so.

WHEN GOG..knows it radio situation for 2012, it will be announced right here
on the site. In additon we do plan some podcasts from Mike Munro's White
Pines Golf Dome this winter. Or maybe Bill Bergers, Bills Pub in Streamwood,
or the big office of Ed Stevenson's at Oak Meadows. Which is still open for
golf and coming back very nicely aft the mid-season flood.

SPEAKING OF OAK MEADOWS...Hey Ed..sources tell the Gog Blog that
a guy who looked like a Illinois State Alum, has wins on the PGA Tour and
plays on the PGA Champions Tour and is a golf architect too these days.
Was recently spotted at Oak Meadows, and not at his great design in the
Quad Cities, which hosts the John Deere Classic. Hmmmm...

THE GOG BLOG RECENTLY MADE IT'S FIRST VISIT TO RAVISLOE..in
Homewood..Ravisloe Country Club private for many years. Is now open to
the public (708)-798-5600. The course is hard at work in fixing up some
conditioning issues from the summer, the Gog Blog saw an army of workers
out putting things in better condition. Check it out for yourself by enjoying
the Golf and Bean Bag tournament on Sunday October 2nd. Tee-Times
will get most golfers in the clubhouse before the Bears kick off at noon.

SPEAKING OF PETE DYE..the Pete Dye Golf Trail is now up and running 
in Indiana. Courses like French Lick Resort, The Brickyard with holes inside
the Indianapolis Motorspeedway and The Fort also in the Indianapolis area
are part of the trail. Purdue fans so is the home course of the Boilermakers
golf teams the Kampen Course Birck-Boilermaker Complex. For more please

you spot a guy on tractor with a white dog following him around. It's Dye
and "60" out trying to make the hole harder before you can play it. Quick
pace of play is then recommended.
