CROOKED STICK THE HOME OF THE 2012 BMW CHAMPIONSHIP

THE PAR 3 6TH HOLE AT CROOKED STICK GOLF CLUB IS ONE
OF THE "SIGNATURE HOLES" FOR THE 2012 BMW CHAMPIONSHIP

There might be some doubt where the 2013 BMW Championship
will be played. But the same issue does not exist for next year in
2012.

Just north of Indianapolis in the suburb of Carmel, is the Crooked
Stick Golf Club located in Hamilton County. Crooked Stick was
designed by Pete Dye years ago, and Dye has never quit trying
to improve the course.

Dye doesn't do renovations, he just keeps tinkering and thinking
about more tinkering to Crooked Stick. Which is easy for him to
do since he lives on the course.

The PGA Tour pros have had their say about Cog Hill the last two
years, so now it's curious what they will say about Crooked Stick
since many of them have not played there. But the ones who have
played Dye courses usually have interesting comments about
some of the holes. But no worries, anyone with comments or
complaints has options.

First off the can tell Dye himself, because there is doubt he will
be there, or two off to the right of the 18th fairway is a pond. In
the middle of that pond, is a small island which contains the
complaint box. Feel free to swim out and leave one if so desired.

ARCHITECT PETE DYE CREATES SOME OF GOLFS MOST
INTERESTING COURSES, INCLUDING CROOKED STICK.

Dye's courses usually have some creative names to the hole's
the golfers play. Dyeabolical is most often used for at least
one hole on all of his courses. Dye is also a master in his use
of the pot bunker, most of his courses have some. Some of
them are real no fun to be in. You can bet they will drive the
pro's who them crazy.

There is no doubt that Dye will have something new cooked up
by the time the BMW drives into Carmel in September of 2012.
It should be interesting to see what he creates for the BMW.

The Stick is no stranger to championship golf as the club has
hosted six USGA championships, the 2005 Solheim Cup and
the 1991 PGA Championship that introduced the golf world to
the surprise champion John Daly.

Crooked Stick is a golf club, there are no swimming pools and
tennis courts. Just a clubhouse and a golf course and things that
go with golf. There is a great golf at Crooked Stick with no tee
times and no waiting. The course can play to a yardage of 7,516
and plays to a par of 72.

The incorporates the flavor and feel of central Indiana by having two
covered bridges on the golf course. By the par three sixth hole, and
then in between holes 17-18. They are fun for golfers to drive and
walk through.

THE PAR 4, 424 YARD 12TH HOLE WINDS THROUGH THE PROPERTY

Holes 15-18 will provide some great drama and finish to the 2012
BMW Championship, especially the 18th hole. The 457 yard par 4
has deep grass bunkers left, and water right. The green sits next to
the water and has some "fun" pot bunkers guarding it. The course
will set up in a way that provides some good drama.

"We have waited a long time for this event, "says Tony Pancake
The Crooked Stick Director Golf. "Pete Dye has given us a great
golf course to work with, and the people of Indiana are stepping up
to support the event. It should be a great week."

Chicago golf fans take the time next September to come see the
BMW Championship at Crooked Stick, you will be glad you did.
